| The Pearless Eagle Coal Company in Nicholas County, West Virginia, was
awarded the 1999 West Virginia Reclamation Award. Pearless Eagle
eliminated more than 1,500 feet of old abandoned highwall in the final
mining and regrading of two underground operations. Following final
reclamation, the more than 150 acres of mined land completely blends to
the original contour for wildlife habitat benefit. |
