Roblee Coal Company wins award for reclamation practices
|
Roblee Coal operates the Hackers Creek Mine No. 1
in Upshur County, West Virginia. The
company was presented with an award for reclamation at the site for
continuous and conscientious efforts to conduct underground mining
operations with a minimal environmental disturbance.
Roblee Coal is particularly cited for its drainage structure
maintenance, prevention of haulway spillage, and effective dust control
measures.
The West Virginia Coal Association and the
West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection jointly sponsor the
West Virginia Reclamation Awards program.
The goal of the Reclamation Awards is to recognize the many
positive reclamation results that are achieved each year across the
state.
