Roblee Coal Company wins award for reclamation practices

Roblee Coal operates the Hackers Creek Mine No. 1 in Upshur County, West Virginia.  The company was presented with an award for reclamation at the site for continuous and conscientious efforts to conduct underground mining operations with a minimal environmental disturbance.  Roblee Coal is particularly cited for its drainage structure maintenance, prevention of haulway spillage, and effective dust control measures.

The West Virginia Coal Association and the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection jointly sponsor the West Virginia Reclamation Awards program.  The goal of the Reclamation Awards is to recognize the many positive reclamation results that are achieved each year across the state.
