Patriot Mining has been presented with another
award for excellence in reclamation

Patriot Mining Company, located in Monongalia County, West Virginia,
has been presented with an excellence in reclamation award for the
effective use of fluidized bed combustion ash and the installation of
limestone highwall drains in an acid sensitive mining operation.
Completion of this project has eliminated the need for chemical
treatment of water and resulted in a high quality water discharge.
The West Virginia Coal Association and the West Virginia Department
of Environmental Protection jointly sponsor the West Virginia
Reclamation Awards program. The goal of the Reclamation Awards is to
recognize the many positive reclamation results that are achieved each
year across the state.
