The Mercer Stone Quarry in Ingleside,
West Virginia, is operated by Pounding Mill Quarry Corporation. The
company has been presented with an award for reclamation for outstanding
and long term commitment to minimizing environmental disturbance, while
maximizing aesthetic improvements to its areas of operation. The Mercer
plant serves construction and coal mining markets in the areas of
Bluefield, Beckley, and Princeton, West Virginia.
The West Virginia Coal Association and the West Virginia Department
of Environmental Protection jointly sponsor the West Virginia
Reclamation Awards program. The goal of the Reclamation Awards is to
recognize the many positive reclamation results that are achieved each
year across the state |
