RECLAMATION SUCCESS

Located in Fayette County, West Virginia, Kingston Mining Resources was presented with a reclamation award for the effective use of modern methodology in the construction and maintenance of a coal refuse disposal area. Using slurry cell construction technology and a comprehensive monitoring program, the company has reduced the environmental hazard of coal refuse disposal to a minimum and has simultaneously sustained water quality.

The West Virginia Coal Association and the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection jointly sponsor the West Virginia Reclamation Awards program. The goal of the Reclamation Awards is to recognize the many positive reclamation results that are achieved each year across the state.

Kingston Mining Resources received an award for effective reclamation practices
