Located in Wayne County, West Virginia, the Kanawha River
Terminals received a reclamation award for innovative
design, efficient revegetation techniques, and effective
attention to procedure and detail in the construction and
operation of its Ceredo Dock where coal is loaded and
unloaded. While operating in a populated area, the company
has achieved outstanding results in drainage control, dust
suppression, and other environmental aspects.
The West Virginia Coal Association and the West Virginia
Department of Environmental Protection jointly sponsor the
West Virginia Reclamation Awards program. The goal of the
Reclamation Awards is to recognize the many positive
reclamation results that are achieved each year across the
